Spartacus is forced into slavery and condemned to the bloody gladiator’s arena in Rome. As he navigates

 the violent and brutal world he realizes that not all battles are fought in the arena, and that he must overcome treachery and temptation to survive. This retelling of the story of Spartacus is rife with blood, violence and sex, set to the sounds of jarring guitars, so it’s definitely not for the younger crowd.
It is hard to believe that it has been six years since Spartacus and his band of gladiators came to life on our television screens.

Liam McIntyre

Liam McIntyre took over the role of Spartacus in Season 2, and filled Andy Whitfield‘s gladiator sandals brilliantly. Since his time in the arena, the 34-year-old Australian actor has starred in The Legend of Hercules and the television hit The Flash. He is currently filming the action film, Gears of War 4

Manu Bennett

Manu Bennett may always be remembered as Spartacus’ enemy-turned-friend, Crixus. Since the finale he has appeared in the CW series Arrow, and currently stars in the sci-fi show The Shannara Chronicles on MTV.

John Hannah

As lanista Quintus Lentulus Batiatus, John Hannah was one of the most hated characters on the series. Since his time as Spartacus’ master, the Scottish actor has starred in several popular shows, including his current role of Holden Radcliffe on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Lucy Lawless

Fans of Lucy Lawless’ master manipulator Lucretia can watch the actress on the TV series Ash vs. Evil Dead.

Jai Courtney

Nick E. Tarabay

A former gladiator turned Roman supporter, Nick Tarabay’s Ashur made a lot of enemies during his time on the hit show. Since then, he has starred many television shows including, ArrowPerson of Interest and Castle.

Katrina Law

Katrina Law won Spartacus’ heart as Mira in Season 1 and 2 of the show. Currently, she is filming the television follow-up to the Denzel Washington drama, Training day, alongside Bill Paxton and Julie Benz.

Andy Whitfield

Following the first season of Spartacus, Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2010 and passed away in September 2011. Following his death, a documentary about his life and cancer journey was released, titled Be Here Now.
