After being released from the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) custody, Zlatan Ibile has been more than grateful, The Yoruba rap star has revealed a lot of the events that happened on the day and before the day he and his colleague Naira Marley were arrested.
The ‘Zanku’ crooner made these things public in an interview with Abby Oyebade of The Fuze and he revealed a lot of things that the public was not aware of, he talked about what really went down the day the EFCC came to pick them up, First of all, Zlatan narrated that the whole event played out on Naira Marley’s birthday while they were all at home making plans for what was supposed to be an awesome birthday party
According to him, after he posted pictures of his friend and celebrant, Naira Marley, on his social media pages, he hit the bed to get some sleep. It didn’t last long, as he was woken up by loud knocks on the door. When he opened, he was met with people wearing red jackets, the EFCC.

The rapper said that upon seeing them, his mind wandered to the Am I A Yahoo Boy music video and he had a deja vu moment. He began to wonder if the happenings in the music video were happening right before him, coming to life, he said.
He revealed that the EFCC offials barged into his apartment and seized a couple of gadgets, before they all set out to the EFCC office.
The sensational musician further shared that on the ride to the EFCC office, the officers played some of their songs, as if to thrill or mock them. The played songs like Able God, Am I A Yahoo Boy, Bye Bye and others.
Responding to a question about how the possibility of his comments on social media could have led to his arrest, the rap star said he could not really identify what led to the development, he doesn’t know who called and who helped but he appreciates all the efforts. life comes with a lot of challenges especially if you are headed to the top.
On whether he is a yahoo boy, Zlatan teasingly queried if he shares any semblance with an online fraudster. He said ‘I am not a Yahoo Boy, I am an entertainer.’ He also mentioned that life comes with a lot of challenges especially if you are headed to the top.
The experience was so intense that Zlatan released a song about the experience titled ‘4 Days In Ekotie Eboh’. In the song, to express his disappointment about those he believed snitched on him while he was away.
